Leisure World Seal Beach Map Tour

are you thinking about making a move to Leisure World in Seal Beach California well in this video we are going to do a map tour of Leisure World kind of show you where everything is from a map you know above looking down on it just so you can get a kind of an idea of how big Leisure World actually is where everything is there's a couple little places like I don't wanna I don't wanna call them hidden places but hidden places to me I didn't know about him for a while and found out about him and I'm like oh wow didn't know they had that so stick around to the end and I'll try to give you a good tour of Leisure World so you'll know what you're getting into oh my God Leisure World is a retirement community in Seal Beach California where you can buy a home in there for starting about 9,000 on a so depending on what you're looking for the prices go up from a one bedroom and the the biggest units are gonna be 2 bedrooms um 13 square feet roughly on the on the larger units some of them are little bit more depending on how the units are built out um so you know if you're looking

to move into Leisure World there's a lot to figure out there's different requirements for different sections of Leisure World so if you have questions you wanna know what the best place to move is or which which mutual or the mutuals are like many HOA's inside the community um if you wanna know what's mutual's gonna work for you uh just reach out to me give me a call shoot me a text send me an email anytime I actually love helping people out so if you have any questions do not hesitate to give me a call alright so let's get into it right now okay so here's the the overview map of Leisure World you can kind of see leisure old is basically located inside of this area right here up here to the to the north you'll see the 4 0 5 freeway Seal Beach Boulevard runs right in front of Leisure World right along this line right here so you can kind of see that get rid of this I'll kind of zoom in a little bit so this is basically Seal Beach Boulevard right up here okay so right in this area right here is going to be the front gate to Leisure World right here and you know you go this there's actually

there's actually um three gates so that's the front gate um then if you go down here there's another gate that goes in back behind here so you can kind of see the gate like right in here off of Saint Andrews um a lot of times you're gonna wanna come in those other gates cause that front gate can get congested and then there's another gate up here so you're gonna basically get off the freeway you're gonna come around and then go straight down into the gate down in here so kind of zoom in right here there's the gate so when you come in this gate um you know there's another there's a like a veterans memorial right here um in the on the north gate um there's a church over in this area um on the north side um leisure a clubhouse 3 there's I wanna say six clubhouses in Leisure World the homie do that um but there's three and four right here there's a credit union right up in this area um so just kind of give you an overview of you know how big leisure old actually is so you have a gate over here you have a gate right here uh right in this area here it's hard for me to seal

this map and you have another one up in this area okay again if you if you can avoid using the front gate probably good idea cause it's where everybody comes in all the vendors come in um so you know I could get backed up over there and there's got you know a few traffic lights in that area too which sometimes causes a delay getting in some of the some of the other amenities in here you have like I said before there's a church up here in this area right here there's a church down here by the swimming pool like in right in this area in here and then there's another pretty good size church over this area and there are you know all denominations in there they have not unless they all but there's a lot of different denominations that share the buildings or the facilities for the churches as well so once you go in the front gate of Leisure World so you're gonna come in the front gate you're gonna go down and if you go down to um ST Andrews and hang a right this area right here is gonna be where the clinic is um there's also a kind of zoom in a little bit for you there's an amphitheater here

this building right here is um gonna be where you go to um get your keys when you first move in so this this whole area right this building right here um there's a a a little medical clinic over in this area there's a cafe um you know there's recreation buildings are all kind of things to do in Leisure World you'll see you'll see the amphitheater right here an overview of the amphitheater across the street from that you're gonna have the aquatic center which is looks like this picture was taken without the water and it was by there the other day there's definitely water now but this whole area is the aquatic center um there's the church I was telling you about earlier just north of that or just northeast of the aquatic center is gonna be your golf course it's pretty decent sized golf course you wanna go you know you're not gonna be like hitting some long drives in there but you know it's it's good to go out and you know knock a few balls in the holes just kind of keep your practice up there's also one of the things that I just discovered recently if you if you have like trash or you have like things you want to get rid

of there is a back in the back corner over here can actually drive in if you're a resident you can drop off your trash you can drop off you know if you have like things that you don't want anymore you don't have to like wait for somebody to come pick him up you can have somebody come pick him up you don't have to wait go back here this uh it's like a recycling center in the back of Leisure World which is kind of cool the other thing UM2 is if you come down along the back of El Dorado down the back here there's an actually there's actually a RV parking spot a lot which is a really good sized parking lot back here in the back too so you know if you have an RV and you want to find a place to store it there you go right there just pull in from camping drop it off and go home they try to make things a lot you know very simple for the resident to leave your room alright let's see also down here at um Clubhouse 2 so right here there's a pickleball courts there's a um there's a little basketball court right in here so if you if you if you're in

a pickleball and you know a lot of seniors are there's a place right there to go play and the few times that I've actually been by there it wasn't crowded at all a matter of fact I don't think anyone was there so um I'm sure it gets used cause it looks like they just put it in looks you know fairly fairly new updated there's also the car wash over in this area too so if you wash your cars you can come in here do you get your car wash and there's some vacuum cleaners back on the backside of the Pickle Accords over here now some of the one of the couple of things that I wanted to point out um in the video these these buildings up here in this is mutual 15 up in this area kind of in here um and and this this my drawing on the map don't go by that but mutual fifteens up in the up in that corner right there in that area um there's a lot of uh two story buildings in that in that area those whole those units in there are gonna be about based 12 square feet some of them are going to be a little bit bigger depending on whether or not they

built in the balcony so what people do is they'll actually buy a unit with a with an outdoor balcony or a little deck and they'll close it off and add square footage to the unit using that little area so it's actually kind of cool some of the units of their incredible when you walk into him you kind of be blown away at you know what some of these units look like on the inside so that's you know that's inside Leisure World now if you're moving to the area I want I wanna show you um kind of like zoom out a little bit we have the 22 Freeway comes in from here the 4:05 goes into here so the 22 basically connects over to the 55 is about a 12 mile um stretch and the 55 goes up to the 91 so a lot of I mean that's your quickest route to go out to Riverside County or like Palm Springs area um it's very convenient to uh the freeways outside of the front gate of Leisure World and just head straight down and come along here you're right down to the pier in Seal Beach so this is the actual Seal Beach piers right here um it's very very close there's a lot of um

activities going on in Old Town Seal Beach not a lot that night it's not like Huntington Beach Seal Beach is more laid back relaxed feel than Huntington beaches uh you give you an example on the weekends a lot of the restaurants close at 9:00 whereas in Huntington Beach you know they're still open a lot later during the weekend the the foot traffic in downtown Seal Beach is a lot less than downtown Huntington Beach Huntington Beach has you know the air shows and they have a lot of you know the the World Series of surfing is in Huntington Beach down by the pier Seal Beach is not that busy so it's more of a laidback lifestyle there are a lot of seniors in Seal Beach even in outside of Leisure World and Oldtown Seal Beach so it's it's more of a laidback kind of vibe atmosphere so you know it's it's a perfect location where Leisure World is one of the other things too is like right across the street if you'll notice so this is Leisure World right here and this is the naval weapon station so this whole area right here is basically owned by the by the Navy so it's a naval weapon station not a lot of um um not a lot

of Navy personnel station on the Navy weapon station you know it's mainly you know storage facilities pretty much and then if you'll if you'll notice down here in this area there's a you know a couple of piers they just opened up another pier for more ships to park in the used to be able they used to only be able to put one ship in at a time now they can put a couple of ships in and I could put bigger ships in there they're working on a plan to put two aircraft carriers in at the same time now with that being said you know haven't been in the Navy myself when an aircraft carrier pulls in those things are huge and there's a lot of people on them um I don't know that it's gonna have its full um complement of sailors on there when they pull in um you know they when the ship goes out to sea a lot of those squadrons actually will fly out to the ship so a lot of the people that normally would go out to see on an aircraft area aren't there all the time so basically what I'm saying is if it's if it's a full aircraft here with 5,000 people on it downtown Seal Beach

is gonna be very busy when that happens um I've spoken to a couple of the Seal Beach police officers and they say that the Navy is gonna you know compliment them with their own security you know to kind of you know you know maintain order but usually with with nowadays with a Navy um you know they're they're pretty you know well behaved and they don't cause a lot of trouble back when I was in the Navy different story we're not gonna talk about that so with that being said there's also if you'll notice up here so up in this area right here this was a Los Alamitos Army air base it's now a joint military base up here but if you'll notice and one of the things that you'll see and and again there's not a lot of air traffic coming out of that base they're mostly helicopters um but there the flight path basically goes right over Leisure World so sometimes you'll see military aircraft flying over Leisure World if they're jets when the Blue Angels come to town or there's an air show in Huntington Beach what they'll do is they'll fly out over and then go out to see and then they'll come back in down to Huntington Beach so you know

when when is the air show weekend yes it can get loud during the normal you know day to day in Leisure World there you know there are aircraft that do fly over Leisure World so I'm not gonna say that you're not gonna hear them definitely will hear them but it's not like you're you're living under an airport so if you're looking at the map and you see that up there um that's what you're that's what you're looking at so it's not it's not it's not like you're you're parked in the lax flight path which would be a literal nightmare so a couple of other points here there are um there is a grocery store up in things not working there's a grocery store up in this area right here so when you you go out of the back gate of Leisure World or the front gate of Leisure World it's pretty quick to get to it um there's also one down in this area right here there's a grocery store right there um called pavilions and computers are Ralph's there's another one over here in Long Beach by the way this is Long Beach right here so over in this area is gonna be Long Beach and then you know of course we're seal beaches

basically this area right here I think I went too far to the south of here but you get the idea so this is Seal Beach this is Long Beach there's um shopping all down in and through this area over here in Long Beach there's a little shopping center right in here there's a Trader Joe's over here so if you got the out the out the side gate of Leisure Road you can get the Trader Joe's if you just go to Westminster Boulevard turns into 2nd Street and Trader Joe's will be on your left there's also um you know for those of you have um electric vehicles there's a um there are Tesla charging stations over here in this area there's chargers down here by pavilions um so there's plenty of infrastructure to support Leisure World basis so also if you're looking at the if you're looking at the map you'll see this wildlife refuge down here um yes you can access it you have to go through the Navy base to access it but it's kind of cool you know it's just it's a wildlife refuge there's a lot of birds and people that like to photograph birds and you know that sort of thing you can get out there and you know make a
